ALL STUDENTS ARE UNDER THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF A LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST INSTRUCTOR FOR THE DURATION OF THE MASSAGE.

Clinic appointments with the Professional Development Lab (PDL $50) are held on the 4th floor. Regular clinic appointments ($40) are held on the 8th floor.

If you arrive after 6 pm during the week and on Sundays, the lobby doors will be locked. Please use the handicap door in the courtyard and if you are locked out, use the phone at the handicap door and tell the security guard you are going to the Northern Virginia School of Therapeutic Massage and they will buzz you in.

Professional Development Lab ($50/session, 10 min intake and assessment, 50 min massage): Advanced clinical massage with senior students that have completed 600 hours of education. The PDL provides an interactive experience for client, student and instructor focused toward clinical massage to assess and treat specific conditions presented by the client (i.e. headaches, neck and low back pain, pre-/post surgery, etc.) Students will receive hands-on instruction, how to communicate with clients to ensure that the work being performed feels corrective and addresses soft tissue dysfunction, alleviates discomfort and increases range of motion.
