To my mediation attorneys: 2022 will be my 50th season as a member of the Bar. I am fortunate to still have my health, and some might say, maybe a bit of my wits. After trying cases for 23 years and sitting on the Bench for 16, the past 11 years mediating with capable attorneys and interesting litigant clients has been the most fun ‘assignment’ of all – stimulating, and at the same time, a warm blanket. I love this work. However, even the best of things has its day. I am retiring my mediation business effective December 31, 2021. Looking forward and back, I realize I appreciate my experiences just as much as my concerns for what I am giving up … We have only our family, imagination and … time. Let’s use it or lose it.
