Welcome! The 2027 LIHEAP program year is now open, and will continue until 8/13/2027, or until funding is exhausted, whichever occurs first. October has the following priority households, with the income guidelines below. There is a very large group of households that fit the priority period and we will not be able to accomodate all households in October. The priority households for October appointments are:
Households with members 60 and older Households with a member that receives social security disability Households with children age 5 and under Households that have a valid, current disconnection notice that is current, please write you telephone number on the disconnection notice, on our website, please click on the secure upload link, then the disconnection notice link and a staff member will reach out to you to schedule your telephone appointment **Please be sure that you receive/see a green bar that confirms that you have successfully scheduled
For households that do not fit the priority period, please schedule your appointment after November 1st.your telephone appointment. Please have the following documents out and available at your telephone appointment: 1. Social Security cards for all household members 2. Most recent Nicor, ComEd, Propane billing statements 3.
