Beginning December 31, 2025, NewYork-Presbyterian will no longer deduct premiums for your Unum and 1st Unum Short-Term Disability, Universal Life, and Whole Life insurance benefits directly from payroll.

Your Unum and 1st Unum policies are valuable, individually owned plans. These policies were designed to provide lasting protection, and your premiums were locked in at the time of enrollment—remaining level for the life of your policy.

To continue your coverage without interruption, Employee Family Protection (EFP) can help you seamlessly transition to Direct Pay.
