Fused Glass for Painters ($300)
Students will bring a painting of their own to the first class which will be used as the inspiration for an exploratory adventure in fused glass using traditional and non traditional techniques. The first four weeks of this six-week course students will explore various effects that can be used to mimic or reproduce aspects of the painting they bring to the first class. The last two weeks students will use their experiments to put together a final piece that reflects the painting they brought to the first class. Ample materials are included in the price of the course to complete the projects, however, students may find it appropriate to purchase alternate materials to play with in order to achieve colors or effects that exceed the available materials. There will be an opportunity to put together a group order for the class if multiple students are interested in additional materials. No prior glass experience required, open to all levels.
