Flame Working: Pendants ($150) Date(s)
Using Borosilicate glass, students will learn to shape and mold a variety of objects, including flowers, at a stationary bench torch. Sculptures will then be cased in clear glass to produce a pendant. The instructor will demonstrate techniques and then assist as each student works.

Glass paperweights $175
The glass paperweight is the first step for anyone interested in working with hot glass. This introductory class guides the first time glass artist through the most crucial skills. First you will gather glass from the furnace, learn to shape and control, and how to apply color to the glass. In a fun and informative manner our instructors will introduce you to tools, safety and basic glass theory. Every student will leave with a gorgeous paperweight and a strong foundation for future exploration. No experience necessary. All materials included.

Glass Blowing 202 (2 Day) (9:00 a.m.) $325
This continuing workshop will expand on the skills learned in Glassblowing 101. Instructors will begin with a series of demonstrations to refresh your technical memory and then you will move into practicing your bubble skills. Then you will learn how to gather more glass and control it with a series of blocks. Then you will learn Swedish glass blowing techniques to create larger pieces with a variety of color applications. New color techniques such as color mixing, body raps, and raking will be introduced. You will apply these skills learned to create beautiful glass vases, while you gain a stronger understanding of how to control your glass to create artistically colorful glass pieces. Prerequisite: Glassblowing 1 or Glassblowing 101

Flame Working: Pendants ($150)

Flame Working 202 : Borosilicate (two day $300)
This workshop will focus on blowing Borosilicate glass at the torch. After teacher demonstration and explanation, students will proceed individually with work time. The teacher will assist with one on one attention. Learn how to blow hollow forms, add color, and sculpt.

Fused Glass Pendants 2h Saturday ($85)
This class will introduce you to the basic principals behind forming glass in the kiln to create beautiful fused glass pendants. You will be introduced to all of the tools, basic glass cutting and kiln forming theory. When these one of a kind pieces come out of the kiln a Diablo staff member will attach a sterling silver bail by which to hang your pieces. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Stained Glass 101 (2 Days) ($345)
During this 2 day weekend workshop, students will learn the basic skills of stained glass. Instructors will start by teaching students to cut and gring glass. Then, using the American Tiffany copper foil technique, students will prepare their objects to be assembled. The final step is to solder the pieces together to create sun-catchers, window panels or ornaments. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
