This course will introduce flameworking at a stationary bench torch. This beginner class is the best way to enjoy the excitement of melting glass with a torch while making your very own piece. You will experience melting small rods of glass, then controlling, shaping, and sculpting them to decorate your own glass chillum. Each student will be provided with a clear chillum blank, which they can adorn with marbles, lines of color, or text drawn onto the piece in the flame. The course is intended to briefly introduce flameworking to the student for further consideration. No experience necessary!
