For student age between 16 and 24 - obtained Learners License via Teens Drivers Ed

1. Must be between 16-24 age and have completed Texas Driver Ed course.
2. Must have a Drivers Education completion Certficate(DE 964 / PT 964).The certificate must say FOR DRIVERS LICENSE ONLY at the top.
   
3. Must have held a Texas learner’s permit for 180 days. The exact date is on the back of your permit.
4. Must have a ITTD Certificate. Impact Texas Teen Drivers link.
   
5. Completed 30 Hours Parent Driving Log. Click Here to print the 30 hours log.
6. Must be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian.

For student Age 18 & up - Obtained Learners License via Adult 6 hours Course

1. Must have a valid Texas Learner’s License (A DPS Receipt for a permit is NOT acceptable. You must have a Learners License with your photo)
2. Must have an ADE-1317 certificate (for age 18-24)
   
3. Must have a ITAD Certificate. Impact Texas Adult Drivers link. Certificate is valid for 90 days.

2. Use the calendar to view available dates and times. You may schedule an appointment 180 days in advance.

Vehicle Requirements: 

1. Auto Registration is Current
2. Certificate of Insurance, Paper or Digital. MUST show vehicle VIN number.
   
3. Licenses Plates on Front and Rear of Car. Temporary plates are acceptables.
4. Blinkers work front and rear -  Brake lights work -  Horn works

US CITIZENS: DFW Driving School is now Approved to submit your Road Test documents to DPS via Online Portal. No Further Appointments Needed with DPS
