Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans constructions sites, offices and the ReStore are now temporarily closed in order to safeguard our voluteers, donors, current and future homeowners and staff members from the threat and spread of the Covid-19 virus. Throughout this time, we will be unable to accept donations of goods, or schedule pick-ups. This is a temporary closure. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to opening our doors to the community once again, soon. Check back often for updates.
We appreciate your time in helping us plan your pick-up donation. We allow online requests scheduled out 21 days in advance of the current date. Telluride, Ridgway and Ouray area pick-ups are scheduled on Tuesdays. Montrose area within 20 minutes of the ReStore are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Due to the ReStore needs we are unable to schedule pick-ups on Mondays and Saturdays. If you do not see a date available for the current month please join our waitlist where we can monitor our availability and call you as soon as we have a date open.
*** PLEASE NOTE-- FOR YOUR PICK-UP ALL ITEMS MUST BE PLACED IN AN OUTSIDE COVERED AREA, OR GARAGE. WE CANNOT ENTER YOUR HOME FOR ANY DONATIONS. ALL ITEMS MUST BE AT GROUND LEVEL(NO STEPS) AND EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY OUR DRIVER AND TRUCK. OUR DRIVER MAY DECLINE ANY ITEMS HE CANNOT SAFELY RETRIEVE OR DECLINE IF ITEMS DO NOT MEET OUR ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA.****
Due to transportation costs and our limited resources, we politely ask that if your donation is small enough to fit in your vehicle that you bring it down to our ReStore located at 1601 N. Townsend Ave. during our donation drop-off hours Monday-Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm.
Donation pick-ups have a two hour window for arrival to allow for travel time between pick-ups. During the winter months Habitat for Humanity of the San Juans will monitor each day for inclement weather. We reserve the ability to cancel appointments due to ice, snow and winter storm advisories.
When you are completing the form please describe each item you wish to donate. We are able to accomodate very gently used furniture, building materials and large appliances. Items such as re-useable lumber or decking material must be no longer than 12' in length, and must be free of screws or nails that may cause injury.
